I am thinking of buying this antenna, the only thing that puts me off is the vertical polarization for 2mrt and 70cm ? How have found its performance on SSB, where most operators are horizontally polarized .
Yes, this is a issue, like you, I really wanted all Hor pol for 6M, 2M and 70cm. What i did try, was to rotate the 6M elements, 90 Deg, (ie, it is possible to rotate the 3×6M elements, so they are inline with the 2M and 70CM plane). What this gave me was an antenna with 6M, 2M and 70cm all horizontal. However, the gain plot was a little skewed. Still it worked. It did however, drop the gain on all bands.
What you can also try is rotating the 6M elements, 45 deg, and mounting the antenna so the 6M elements are hor, and therefore the 2M and 70cm elements would be on a 45 deg plain from the vertical/hor. The drop in gain from how to ver is about 3 DB, so, this should drop it less.

I hope this helps.
